I may not be right, but I think that the answer is that they have friends who use drugs, of C.

When one thinks about getting attacked to try drugs, they probably don't think about someone like their friend being the one doing it. They probably think that someone like a stranger would. That low expectancy probably constitutes heavily for their giving in to drugs. In addition, friends may be pressuring their friends to try drugs (if they were on drugs) saying things like, "you won't be my friend any more." This all puts the teen into a dilemma where many just give up and decide to take drugs, just because their friends were taking them. That's why we need to stick around non-users, so that we don't have as high a risk of getting on drugs.
