How does the digestive system work with other systems to keep you health?

The digestive system breaks down the food we eat into smaller parts so the body can use them to nourish cells and provide energy. 
Many parts of the digestive system also have other roles in the body: 
1) The pancreas also makes insulin 
2) The Liver secretes bile to digest fat. it detoxifies harmful substances. 
3) The rectum and the anus keep the body continent.

The digestive stystem helps produce blood and food the food goes through your anus and comes out thats how they work together
