How does the national government improve public health?

Public health is basically about the health of the overall population residing in the country. Numerous factors are there that contribute to public health, like infant mortality rate, obesity rates, death rate.

The national government helps to improve public health by providing resources and creating laws and regulations. It also allots a certain amount of budget that is spent to improve the health of people. Moreover there are many public schools in which students are required to get certain vaccinations to ensure their good health.  Awareness is spread among the population about drugs and tobacco in order to prevent people from using it.
