How can teens protect themselves from dangerous e-cigarette messages (ads)

Teens can study how bad e-cigs are for them and they will know not to do something like that. They should already be educated since they are teens so they should know not to do that stuff. They could also turn the channel, or skip the ad if possible. Hope this helps in someway. (:
