The first obvious benefit that can be derived from playing football is the health benefit.  Football participation, as well as any other sport, provides opportunities to improve speed, agility, strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.  Another benefit is the camraderie that is built as a result of participation.  An additional benefit is discipline.  Football requires attention to detail.  Other important benefits playing football provides is the development of a work ethic, practice working as a team, and the skills learned in football can be transferred to other sports.
