Explanation:

After to take apart a cast, the skin is not clean because the period that was cover with the cast it has not washed. The first step is to wash it gently to remove some crust, dust, sweat, etc. Need to be gently, remember the bone has just been stick, but is not recover jet at 100 %, so some possible pain is expected.

After that, is recommended to hydrate the skin with some emollient, in this case the skin will recover its plasticity, elasticity and softness.  Remember the skin is flexible depending the conditions.
