Are dictionaries "outdated? " why or why not? explain two reasons why dictionaries (text or online) can be useful.

No the dictionaries are not outdated  because we use it on a regular basis in our day to day life.

New words are added in the vocabulary every day and the we need to known about the meaning of the words.

Though with changing time the we have been shifting towards the text dictionary to online dictionary for the meaning of the words and for knowing new words.

Hence, the it can be said that the dictionaries are not outdated they are still of equal importance as they were earlier.  

Dictionaries are not outdated as new versions of the dictionary are released every year. Two reasons why dictionaries, text or online, can be useful as they have definitions of words one might not know or understand and the part of speech that word is from, so that word can be used properly in a sentence.
