what equipment is necessary: a volleyball and knee pads are necessary for the sport. volleyball shoes are highly important if you want to reduce the risk of injury.

are there any special skills required to play: much like other sports, volleyball requires special skills in order to become the best of your ability. you need to have good reaction time so you can reach the ball before it touches the floor. concentration is highly important so you won't get distracted. the most important skill that is needed to play this sport is dedication. it might not be a skill specifically but it can make or break your career in volleyball without it.

what are the major health benefits of this sport:

playing volleyball increases your strength, specifically in your arms and legs, and improves your body/fat ratio.

summarize the rules: the rules for this game are fairly simple. there are 6 positions. left front, middle front, right front, right back, middle back and finally left back. your job is to make sure the ball doesn't hit the ground on your side of the court. you can either pass, set or hit the ball to one of your teammates or over the net. suggestion: try to get three touches.
