preoperational thinking

Explanation:

The preoperational thinking is the Second stage out of four stages of Piaget's concept or theory of cognitive development in children and the other three(3) stages are Sensorimotor stage, Concrete operational stage, and formal operational stage. The preoperational thinking happens in children between the ages of two(2) to seven(7) and this stages is a stage in which children develop their language although they can not understand the complexity of the language like adults. Also, in this case children tends to use symbols for expressing words.

PRE-OPERATIONAL STAGE.

Explanation: According to Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development, pre-operational stage which is the second stage starts from 2years to 7 years.Here,a child doesn't make use of the cognitive domain rather the child thinks and reasons symbolically and makes use of objects and situations that happen around him to make up thought and ideas.

Certain attribute/ features characterize this stage,they include;

- Children focus and think about one thing at a time,they can't multi-task or do alot of things at the same time.

- They think more about themselves than anyone around them.

They assume that people around them see and thinks the same thing do they tends not to focus their thoughts around any other thing or person except themselves.

- They socialize and play with children they find around them though inspite of this,they are still drawn to their own private world and thoughts.

- They represent symbols and objects to be what they are not and pretend to be individuals they are not example,acting as Nurses,Doctors,parents and superheroes they watch in movies.

- They make people around them to believe that certain parts of the environment are created by humans like the stars,moon and sun.
