Food and Drugs Administration has major roles concerning drugs and medicines released in pharmacies and the alike. They make sure they are safe, evaluate them through tests before they can be released and sold in drugstores. They see to it that drugs released in the industry are of optimum quality. They handle all technicality with companies and industries in this field. 

In general, the FDA is responsible for the regulation of all aspects of medicine in the United States. This includes medicine approval, manufacturing regulation, packaging regulation, control of distribution, and regulation of the place of sale.
