They do understand that your home is not only a place you lay your head but also an extension of yourself and may comprise a lifetime of memories and savings. Not to mention the cost involved in a full scale evacuations.

It makes part of you die when people ignore the fact you are trying to save their lives when all they want is to save their homes .

In most cases you will have a couple of days notice for an evacuation IE a hurricane typhoon or some eruptions , sometimes it’s mere hours such as the case with wild fires sadly we still don’t have the the knowledge to give more then several minutes for tsunamis and tornadoes but we strive sorry and plan for all of them.
