I believe the best option for John would be to leave the vehicular and go to a low flat area. If he drives away, the tornado would no doubt catch up to him as they travel at least 30 mph. If he chases it the winds would probably blow his car away. And leaving to get to the top of a bridge isn’t safe because the tornado is going to tear everything up and send objects flying through the air, likely hitting him and possibly being fatal to him or leaving him in terrible condition
