The nursing instructor is teaching a group of nursing students about the various androgen drugs. The instructor determines the session is successful when the students correctly choose which drugs that needs to be handled with extreme caution especially by pregnant women:-

1,Dutasteride,

2.Finasteride

These two drugs should be avoid if possible by the pregnant women.

Explanation:,

.Finasteride;  is an example of androgen drugs.That is mostly used to suppress excessive hair growth in women.If used by pregnant women it may  causes genital defects;e.g ambiguous genitals. Therefore,it should not be taken by pregnant women.

Dutasteride (Avodart-brand name)This is another androgen, used for the treatment of enlarged prostate.  In pregnant women if taken orally or absorbed through the skin. it causes genital defects of male fetus by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. The latter is controls the developments of sex organs in the fetus.Therefore the developments of external males organs in the fetus is Inhibited,and also the tendency of the organ to develop into the  feminine  form is not inhibited..
