HELP! For some reason I'm stuck on this!! WHAT IS ABSOLUTE VALUE??

Absolute value is a number's distance from zero.

An absolute value is always positive, and is represented by two vertical lines on either side of the term. If you were asked for the absolute value of -4, it would be 4, because -4 is 4 spaces away from 0. The same would apply for a positive number - the absolute value of 7 would be 7.

Absolute Value is the distance from zero a number is. For example, -2 has an absolute value of 2, and 3 has an absolute value of 3.
