How does addiction work in the brain(considering the development of the prefrontal cortex and the way in which the limbic system works)

if this is about drugs then it would probably be like for example a drug would probably make your brain go from a big circle to small or the other way around,sorry if I am wrong on this

because health skills are tools and strategies and also practical skills are also something you need to learn (like tools and strategies) and put it in reality.
