In my opinion, 2 reasons why friendships can be scary is because one, when you become friends with someone, that means that you trust them and care for them. If that person breaks that trust that you've created with them, it's hard to be able to have that same connection. The second reason is that sometimes people are toxic. If you become friends with a toxic person and don't realize it, it can hurt you emotionally for a long time.
