To know how much our body can resist, and to know when to increase or decrease the activity/actives we are doing. We just need to do activities that are in average intensity because if our heart rate is too high for such an activity, it means we are pushing ourselves hard to do it, and if it's too low, it means we need to increase the intensity of a particular activity.
