The information provided is the population back in 2012 of senior citizen.

2. According to the scale, what do the areas in red represent?

The areas in red represent that there is more than 10% of seniors in that area.

3. According to the scale, what does each dot represent?

Each dot represents 100 hundred senior citizens in the area.

4. Zoom in and out on the map using your mouse wheel or +/- buttons on the screen. How does the information of the legend change?

When zooming in and out on the map we see clearly that each red dot has changed from each being represented as 100 seniors to being represented as 50 seniors.

5. Zoom in on Manhattan island. How does the information of the map change as you zoom in on the map?

The information or legend on the map changes its dot info. to only being 3 people per a dot from 50 people per a dot.

6. What areas around the map appear to have a larger dot density than Manhattan? What areas appear to have a smaller dot density than Manhattan?

Areas such as Alexandria bay has a dot density of 100 senior citizens while Manhattan only has 3 people per dot. Areas such as deer island had not dotted density.

The area A = 1,401 – 1,700

B = 1,001 – 1,200

C = 2,201 – 38,000

D = 0 – 800

E = 0 – 800

The data shown can help the school district tell how many schools they might need to open or how many homes and businesses needed in the area.

I would want to place my new hair salon business in area c because it has the most people in population wise in that area.

I would want to place my distribution center at area d because it has the lowest people in that area so it will be less people trying to take or steal items from the warehouse.
