When we want to fight disease we can do many things on our own and some with the help of medical professionals. By ourselves, we can watch our personal hygiene and wash our hands often. This is important because we don't know what we have on them during the day. We need to make sure we don't have any viruses or bacteria that could infect us or others by touching our face or eyes or mouth, preparing food or drinks, etc. We can get vaccinated for many diseases that we have today in order to prevent them from being widespread or spread at all. This is the most effective measure we have apart from using antibiotics. We must use antibiotics sensibly and not use them on our own hands. This can lead to bacteria resistant to antibiotics and that is very bad. We can also practice safe sex and avoid spreading those kinds of diseases too.
