We aim for higher-yielding yielding crops. This is done with hybridization or cross-breeding that are both processes where we combine to get the best outcome with our crops.

We try to improve the quality of the crops. We aim to improve the baking quality or protein quality of some.

Biotic and abiotic resistance. We develop resistant crops so that diseases, heat, insects, salinity, or cold don't kill off the crops.

Better adaptability for the crops and to make them suitable for the changes of climate conditions.
