Children needs recess because it gives at least movememt in their body. In school, you sit, look at the board. Usually, the only time you get up is Physical Education (P.E) and walking around. Without recess, there would be less height growth and fitness. To add up, children worked hard, they should have free time to talk and spend time. Teachers can use excuses that they had enough time to play.
