why do people get sore throat? what can be done to prevent it?

Well i believe that you cant prevent sore throat once you have it you have it but what we can do is make it feel better:) Drink lots of fluids aka orange juice apple juice milk water, etc:) then you NEED to take your vitamins . I wouldn't recommend cough drops because when you suck on them it just makes your throat more soar but if you absolutely want them i would recommend throat lozenges:)
