Radioisotopes taken internally for medical reasons

Radioisotopes can be taken in a form of a liquid by the patient in order to detect internally the radioisotope by the machine (CT). This is done in order to see if there are any tumors as you know tumors are fast growing and need a lot of energy to reproduce the liquid stab stance taken by the patient consist also of sugar which is used by cells to grow and hence, we can see where is the liquid used in the body in order to detect the tumor.
