The most important thing to do to prevent infections varies by what type of infection it is, but whether it be an ear infection or foot infection most are caused by bacteria from somewhere, or something else or bacteria rapidly growing in an area, "infecting it and invading it. Imagine you were to put on headphones from a public sound demo. You finally get to try it on after a diseased, or sick person did. But you didn't know this. So you try them on, and then go home. You then go to the doctor for an ear cleaning, they notice something, maybe its alot of earwax, or an infection, a germ endangering your ear and it's contents. You have an infection! To prevent this from happening, you should take caution when sharing a drink, (you can get meningitis) from sharing socks or shoes maybe putting on dirty ones, (Athletes foot) and to always sanitize and cleanse yourself, that way if you do get unwanted bacteria, it can be washed away.
