Describe what type of diet one might follow while attempting to decrease the risk of developing colon cancer.

If there is someone who is most potentially diagnosed with colon cancer, it is essential to make sure that this person follows a diet that is able to not only do good for their well-being but also on their general health that might decrease the chance of them getting cancer overall. The person suffering from colon cancer would need to have a variety of fruit and vegetables in their diet, fresh fish, oatmeal and anything that might contain high amounts of fibre. The person would also need to avoid foods in their diet that can increase the chance of once again getting colon cancer back. Therefore they would need to avoid things such as red meat, salt and saturated fats, alcohol and tobacco. Other than a good diet, the person would also have to have a healthy weight and be physically active which means doing sports such as running, swimming etc on a regular basis.
