FR33 pts just Tell me your EDGE reviews. Here is mine: I’m taking a computer class titled “Computer Applications 2” and it is driving me insane. Not only am I doing at least 10 assignments daily in this class alone (and if you know Edge you know that one “assignment” is made of multiple parts, and in this class it’s typically between 15 and 25 of these parts, more or less) but the assignments are extremely outdated and difficult to answer. I’m unsure what the latest version of Microsoft is since there are different types of Microsoft (office, word, excel) but my class focuses solely on Microsoft 2010, over 10 years ago. This class takes up HOURS of my day, every day Monday through Friday, and occasionally on weekends, and I am learning absolutely NOTHING. I will never need to use Microsoft 2010 (there are multiple newer versions) and the so called “teacher” is so monotone and full of fake facial expressions that it makes it so extremely hard to listen to her, let alone retain any of the pointless information thrown my way. I cannot tell you the number of times I have heard her say the phrase “you have the ability to” I know it seems small, but after hearing it what feels like hundreds of times, they should change the name from “Microsoft” to “yOu HaVe tHe AbiLiTY tO”. It is very obviously scripted and meant to make money, not to actually teach kids. On top of all this I’m learning completely different things each day and can’t remember anything that has been taught to me. There are also these “Hands On Assignments” That consist of doing a long worksheet or making a long PowerPoint that can take two or more hours, just to do the other two or three hours of work for the rest of the assignments in this class. Since the information is so hard to retain and so much of it is thrown at you at once, with it expecting you to remember all of it, it is so hard to get even a B on all the assignments. I have such a bad grade in this class and there is nothing I can do about it. I read somewhere that edge was originally made for students to use for a short period of time to help them catch up, but this absolutely does NOT work for any kind of long term schooling. I have zero contact with any of my real school teachers but since they are required by my district to do something with the remote kids they assign more assignments that add extra hours to something that already fills my whole day almost every day. I wake up in the morning, start school, have a quick lunch hours later, do more school, have a quick dinner, and do more school until I go to sleep. I am so stressed and I feel like I’m dying inside. There isn’t even time for me to take a shower in the morning which is beyond not okay. This platform is absolutely HORRENDOUS and people think I’m exaggerating. I’m not. This is one of the worst things you can do for learning and it is just a waste of money. I know I only complained about my computer class, but the others are almost just as bad.
