Restate the sentence, "you are not telling me what is going on! " to avoid assigning blame and make it a more neutral.

To rephrase 'You are not telling me what is going on!' in a neutral non-blaming way we could say for example:

"I like to do things independently of what other people think I should do"

With this, you're stating that you don't like being told what to do but don't assign any blame.
