What connections do you see between globalization and the culture wars of the 1990s?

Globalization refers to the increasingly global relationships of culture, people, and economic activity. The term  is also  used to refer to the transnational circulation of ideas, languages, and popular culture. Cultural globalization has increased cross-cultural contacts with scope for spreading of recreational opportunities and regional music & cultures through internet and satellite television.
