Describe the major events leading to the fall of the russian czar.

The Russian Revolution lasted for eight months (February to October) in 1917 and resulted to the downfall of the Russian Empire, which later on created the Soviet Union in 1922. 

The following are the chronology of major events that has led to the fall of the Russian Czar:

1. Assassination of Alexander II of Russia on March 13, 1881 by the revolutionaries from the Narodnaya Volya;
2. Foundation of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP), also known as the Russian Social Democratic Workers Party, which was founded in 1898 in Belarus' capital of Minsk;
3. Losing in the Ruso-Japanese War in 1904 that started when the dispute between Russia and Japan over Manchuria and Korea was escalated into an armed conflict;
4. Occurrence of the Bloody Sunday in January 22,1905, where 100 people were killed when the soldiers of the Imperial guard fired on a crowd of workers who are marching to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. This event was also known as St. Petersburg massacre; and
5. Outbreak of World War I where the Czar received a strong support from both the public and political leaders when he decided to enter the war in 1914.
