I think that the president H.W. was a man of action and when he was at the crossroads in life, he always took the bull by the horns.

In China, the former US president is remembered in Beijing for helping stop links with Washington from breaking. The trust and personal ties he spent years creating often proved very important in bilateral relations .

He liberated Kuwait by sending troops after Saddan Hussein invaded that country. One Kuwaiti who named one of his son after Bush said: "He was a real man, a lion," said Mubarak al-Widhan, the father of the Kuwaiti Bush,  "He stood for our right for freedom, and he gave us back our country."

In Panama, he took out Noriega from power. In a nationally televised address, Bush claimed the invasion was necessary to withstand democracy in Panama. During the attack, the U.S. sent a force of 24,000 troops equipped with highly advanced weaponry and aircraft against a country with an army smaller than the New York City Police Department. An estimated 3,000 Panamanians died in the attack.

In Somalia, just weeks before Clinton took office, President George H. W. Bush had deployed American soldiers to Somalia, a coastal nation on the Horn of Africa, where people were in pain and dying from starvation and civil war. The soldiers were sent to guard food and other relief supplies from being stolen by fighting factions.

In Somalia, H.W. Bush advocated for the end of Apartheid, he said in a public speech: "We want to see the creation of a nonracial and democratic South Africa as a result of negotiations among legitimate representatives of all of South Africa's people. We support the beginning of a process leading to a peaceful transition to democracy."

In Yugoslavia, H.W. Bush practically said Milosevic to behave himself when he wrote this to him:  “The United States will be prepared to employ military force against the Serbians in Kosovo and in Serbia proper,”. A Yugoslavian pensioner  said: “I remember when the old Bush set the red lines to Milosevic not to touch us. From that day we had two supporters, God in the sky and America on earth,” said Shyqyri Nici, 70, pensioner.  

From my particular point of view, H.W Bush was a person that had very clear that actions speak louder than words and when he was at crossroads in life, he always took a decision.

people could go to church and listen to the teachings, but it was absolutely forbidden to own and/or read the books of both the old and new testaments. it was also prohibited to translate the books (which where originally in biblical hebrew) to any other language.

this was done so the church could remain in control of what their teachings were and to enhance their importance and power, while also being able to judge people's actions through information that was unavailable for the general public.
