1) After the Civil War, one of the biggest questions dealt with how the Union was going to handle the Confederate states. Groups like the Radical Republicans wanted to punish the Confederate states. On the other hand, other Republicans and Democrats wanted less severe punishments for the Confederate states. These two groups were focusing more on how to unite the country rather than blaming them for the war.

2) The three Reconstruction amendments were the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment.
13th amendment- This makes slavery illegal.
14th amendment- If a person is born on US soil than they are a US citizen.
15th amendment- Gives African-American men the right to vote.

3) Plessy vs. Ferguson was a Supreme Court case that stated that "separate but equal" facilities were legal in America. This meant that states could make separate schools, parks, movie theaters, and restaurants for black and white people.
