Slovakia suffered economically would be the correct answer. Communism is mainly focused on maintaining stability of the economy, but it can take away your rights.. such as voting. The end of communism would have given you more rights, but would have weakened your economy. You can easily compare this to the U.S. and China today. Chine definitely has a better economy than the U.S., but the U.S. does give you more rights. China is a communist country and America is not. Also, the Slovakians had fought to end communism so they would not have revolted after getting what they wanted.
