Akbar was the 3rd monarch of the Mughal empire and is ascribed with running one of these Mughal gold ages. Akbar was Muslim, like all of the other Mughal rules, but he was highly tolerant of different faiths, primarily religion. He believed that attitude and negotiation were the keys to governing the empire well. He did things, e.g., off the non-Muslim taxation, stopped conversion of slaves, and made a centralized government through negotiation and family. While he saw attitude and dialogue significant, he was also a powerful military chief and extended the borders of the Mughal Empire significantly. The new famous law of the Mughals was Shah Jahan. While Shah Jahan was not equally forgiving of Hindus, he was an aggressive ruler with the authoritarian government. He was also famous for his disdain of these arts, e.g., this Taj Mahal. Likewise, some have seen him ruthless, but he did increase the size of the Mughal Empire to its largest ever within his period. Both Akbar and Shah Jahan were concentrated on powerful administration, too as imperial expansion.
