Compare the constitution of 1824 with the us constitution in terms of individual rights religion power of the president and the right to possess firearms

-Individual rights: this Mexican Constitution does NOT include any articles dealing with the rights of Mexican citizens, much less a Bill of Rights. It also restricts the freedom of worship in favor of absolute Catholic Supremacy.

-Religion: “Article 3: The religion of the Mexican nation is and will permanently be the Roman, Catholic, Apostolic religion. The nation protects her with wise and just laws and prohibits the exercise of any other religion”. The US Constitution does NOT declare and enforce an official state religion and much less prohibits the exercise of any religion.

-Power of the president: the list of powers of the Mexican Congress was quite longer than that of the American Congress. Here the Executive is much weaker, compared to Congress than the USA Executive.

-Right to possess firearms: it does not state anything about the right to bear arms at all. It only concerns itself with the depositories of the country’s defense, both nationally and internationally. The USA Constitution includes the very explicit Second Amendment.
