Citizenship means legally belong to a nation, so naturalize an illegal alien is against immigration policies since it's from another world. And most important, would the alien want to be citizen? Or a tourist visa would serve for immigration's purpose better than naturalize it?

In return, the government protects you and all your rights granted in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. More than that though, an American citizen is someone who really understands just how great and amazing our country is and they want to help keep the United States that way.
