it was for disability rights activists descended on the U.S. Capitol demanding the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act which would give equal rights to people with disabilities!

The Capitol Crawl was a protest for the rights of people who have disabilities. This protest was very important because it was the main protest that pushed for the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act - ADA, a law that aimed to end segregation of people with disabilities to them to participate in society.
