The Gospel of Wealth was an article that talked about how the richest have the responsibility to distribute their surplus to benefit the society. The basic message is to show the importance of philantropy and giving back to the community and helping reduce the inequality between the upper and lower classes, as well as discourage the individualism shown through extravagance of expenses and irresponsible spending.
