Why were colonists angry and in opposition to the british acts?

Because they weren't being represented in Parliament when decisions to enact these acts were made. The whole "taxation without representation" thing...that's what that means. They felt hey, if you're going to put an act in place where I have to do something, I should get some sort of say

"act of congress" : ) hope this

so basically it is not clearly and consistently imposed
