What was the scientific revolution? what did it change ?

One of the great turning points before a time age such as the Enlightenment.  The Scientific Revolution was a series of discoveries, and the encouragement of sciences, mathematics, and astronomy. This consisted of people such as Francis Bacon, a philosopher and the man behind the now famed Scientific Method. Other astronomers, such as Nicolaus Copernicus had created the heliocentric model, with Galileo with the telescope backing up and proving with evidence even further that his information was valid. But, people such as Galileo, did receive punishment for opposing the religion during the time period, and was sentenced to permanent house arrest under fear that he would spread further damage to their loyal people under religion.

The Scientific Revolution is a period of time in which scientists, philosophers, and astronomers changed the ideologies and encouraged on how people investigated under certain questions or ideas, and birthed their modern science into existence. This, also was paired with the opposing of the ideologies of religion, teaching people to think for themselves and search for their own explanations. This, also paired with certain ideologies from philosophies which changed the views of society, opposing "the church," and religion.
