The Allies were very kin to disarm and stop from arming again the Japanese. First they took away all the arms of the Japanese and dismissed the military. The reason why this was done to the Japanese was in order to totally secure the ground that they will not attack again, as the Allies wanted to focus on Europe and attack Italy and Germany, defeating them, and ending the war.
