An increase in population, overpopulation, has led to climate change, terrorism and counter terrorism, technological change, the development of weapons of mass destruction, health and medicine advances, as well as a plethora of others. Additionally, in the wake of industrialization and modernization, global heritage preservation has fallen (but now there is more awareness of the importance and historical significance they represent), human rights have become universal in many of the countries around the globe, global trade is flourishing (for the most part), but water and energy sources are becoming a bigger problem, especially as the human population continues to grow exponentially.
