The Southern colonies had economy based around farming, by mostly producing corn, fruits, vegetables, cotton, tobacco. The Chesapeake economy was based mostly around the production of tobacco. The Mid-Atlantic colonies had economy based are farming grains and oats, though there was also nice income from logging and paper-making. The Northern colonies had economy based around fishing, whaling, as well as shipbuilding.
