Mesopotamia is located in the river valley of Tigris-Euphrates, is one of the first cities, in the early civilization, established in between 4000 – 3500 BC by the Sumerian people. The environment of the Mesopotamia is semi-arid, with hot summers and occasional rain. The presence of the two rivers made the cities to survive with humid, fertile. By relying on the rivers, the Sumerian developed believing in the gods like Enki, An, Inanna and several others for their survival. The people of Mesopotamia worshiped Gods for their blessing and to keep them happy because if one of these Gods became anger then the Sumerians will pay the price.
