Would you have sided with those with those who opposed the war with mexico or those who supported it? why?

I would have sided with the people who would have sided with opposing the war with Mexico. The reason for this would be that it would have been much more profitable to have engaged in economic relations that would be prosperous for both nations in comparison to war.
