Jonathan Edwards (1709 - 1758) was a very influential theologian and philosopher. He believed that God is omnipotent, that is, he controls the entire universe and man is so insignificant in comparison to him. He also states that kings seem majestic and powerful but their seemengly power is worthless next to the power of God.
