What did de albuquerque see as the outcome of a portuguese victory at malacca?

During Portuguese’ attacks on Malacca which is the present day Malaya province was ruled by Muslim Sultan. Ports of Malacca were considered an important trade center as it promoted trade relationships with China and India. Albuquerque intended to stop the trade ties of Muslim sultans of Malacca.

Asian spices were traded in these ports of Malacca After two consecutive failures, Malacca faced its downfall. Under the orders of Albuquerque, the soldiers sacked the towns of Malacca.  

After his successful establishment of his rule in Malacca, Albuquerque coined new currency, built wooden chapel houses near to the Fortifications which were built during the blockade of ports in Malacca.
