Free market, which is also known as open market, can be defined as the market in which the prices of goods and services are decided or framed by the consumers/ buyers. It is a type of market which is free from the government regulation or government intervention.

Supply and demands are the two factors which play an important role in determining price. Government has no role in controlling supply and demand. Free market is opposite from the regulated market.
