Why is mexican-american immigration a more complex issue than european or asian immigration?

Its defintely more complex in many ways but 1 tends to stand out the most, that is our Current President, he has made the Mexican people seem so bad, worse than what they really are. Of course there is a part of Mexico where there are drug cartels and crime lords and all that, but not all parts of Mexico are like this. Comparing this to European and Asian immigration, no big figure (eg. President) has made the Europeans or Asians look bad to where nobody wants them. I gave my opinion in this answer, and in no way am I critizing people who support our current president!
