How have international relations shaped and guided the development of the united states, specifically the nation’s government, people, and history?

Even before the young nation came into being it has recognized the importance of international relations. This can be seen in the form of loans acquired from the foreign banks by a new nation in making. The diplomats have done the job of neutralizing the superior British military and naval force by aligning French and getting the back of Spain and Netherlands against the British.
