The maya and aztec civilizations were early civilizations.

The Maya and Aztecs were both Mesoamerican civilizations. They were located in central and southern Mexico. They also spanned across some other countries in Central America and all these countries share some cultural traits. Unfortunately, when the Europeans came they brought disease that killed off most of the natives and so most of the survivors assimilated.
